I am looking to start investing over the next few months, and wondered if anyone had any tips in regards to where to invest, where not to invest, who to buy through (agents) and who not to buy through.

Again thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

John.

I'm also interested in finding out about first-time investments abroad.  Does anyone know anything about the tax advantages?  For eg someone told me that I might be able to claim back money through my capital allowances if my property is in the EU and I am a UK tax payer.  Apparently I can still claim even if I use my holiday home myself.  Any thoughts anyone?

Hi Johnlloyd,

I'm hear to happy that you are going to invest you money.

But I would like to recommend that never invest big amount at a time, you will have to go step by step and invest you money in part. In this way your money will safe and you too.

Good luck!
